Block Flash Animation in Firefox to load faster

December 25, 2007

This totally cool Firefox app for all those ppl still stuck in the stone-age w.r.t. internet
connections ie on Dial up or just want a COMPLETE control on what flash animation loads .It blocks all the bandwidth sucking Flash animation.. especially all those adverts which I dont give a crap abt and multiple Youtube video’s on Blogs. It gives a to tell you tht there is a flash here.. n u can click on to let it start loading. It does a waay better job then most of the firewalls I have tried. [Some recently tried didnt block the latest flash]

Shuffle! Shuffle! your Taskbar Buttons

December 21, 2007

This handly little freebie lets you re-arrange your buttons on the Windows taskbar!. How cool is that! You can now shuffle those tray icons as well with Ctrl key pressed. Firefox user’s spoiled by moving the tabs will surely appreciate it :)

One of the other things is by a Middle Mouse [or the Scroll Wheel] click on a taskbar button/group will close it. Very useful when you need to close running apps to clear up your RAM and speed up your PC!
Splash screen and tray icon can be turned off. Try unchecking the “Show System Tray Icon” hehehe :P

Recover Passwords in Web browsers with the Asterisk Revealer

December 2, 2007

slm/hey
WOW this is nice..
This handy little JavaScript busts the no-showing, no-hinting asterisks *** which hides the real password from snooping eyes, in the Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape and Opera browsers

I have forgotten so many passwords over the years, and had to make new ID’s when I realized that I accidenlty saved a pass on some public PC n then I had to go aronud changing it,it made life miserable.. so under the new plan.. I ONLY visit not-so-important sites like forums and stuff have a simple password like lamepassword [as of Oct 22, this was dropped hehehe] so even it was hacked so what..?

…All you have to do is go to the website where you have forgotten the login details, enter the username and then insert the Script into the address bar [Firefox shortcut key = Ctrl + L]

<input name=”textarea” onfocus=”this.select()” value=”javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<f.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i

and hit enter … you then get a pop-up like this one:

To easily use this, bookmark it!
Turning off JavaScript may prolly protect u from this ‘hack’ but then you face the problem of viewing websites that uses JavaScript. Remember never to save passwords on a public/shared PC [and to clean the cache if u thnk tht u may have] , better yet use the Portable Firefox which is totally cool!

reportedly this also works on the Apple Inc’s Safari Browser :)
